Lia has been permanently teaching at the Fachhochschule Joanneum, University of Applied Sciences in Graz, Austria in the field of Information Design / Multimedia Authoring from 2002 to 2017.
Winter Semester
Course Contents:
Acquisition of the basics for the production of Processing (www.processing.org) applications. Introduction to the programming language Java which is used in a simplified way inside Processing.
Course Objectives:
Creation of Processing applications. Generation of images, vector graphics or videos.
Prerequisites:
None
Teaching and Learning Methods:
Lecture and demonstration of small examples as well as exercise examples and a small personal exercise work.
Assessment:
Written test.
Summer Semester
Course Contents:
Intensification of the programming knowledge through personal works (image generation to external sound sources as a possible example for data visualisation).
Course Objectives:
Creation of a personal Processing application.
Prerequisites:
Basics of simplified Java programming used for Processing.
Teaching and Learning Methods:
Lecture and demonstration of small examples and creation of a personal exercise work.
Assessment:
Exercise work in small groups as well as attendance of the classes and cooperation.
Bibliography:
Tutorial in form of annotations to the classes. Online references.
